Hi, I m Stefan and this is my guest column. This site is about improving your guitar playing and I saw that most of my guitar playing friends were not so good at playing legato licks; they didn’t play it fluid and clean like it should be. Better start slow with new licks and then build up speed.

start SLOWLY and then play it as fast as you want. A good thing is being creative. So do your homework and make your own legato lick out of this scale (instead of just playing it up and down).

Try to play it as fluid and fast as Joe. When you can play this then try this one, also a Satriani lick. Both links are from his cd The Extremist
