Stops
Hello, and welcome back. After the last couple of months of taking the modes and taping them up and down the neck, we’re going to slow it down a little and visit some "stops" along the way. Once again, we are going to focus within the modes. Here in the key of G major we are going to use "mini-chords" that I call "stops," using the venerable foundation of the modes. Just use your picking fingers to pluck these two notes at a time, like chords. I hope you enjoy this fundamental exercise.

Arpeggios, tapping scales, pentatonics, stops, ect, whatever you practice, just keep it in your head. Keep writing creative music. Music isn’t really about anything. The choice is yours. Whatever approach you take, make it personal. A big salute to the electronic make over.
